Replace the file without reprinting

The code points to a page hosted on GPIT QR, not to the file itself. When you have a new quote or next year’s catalogue, open the code in “My QR codes”, replace the PDF and save. Codes already printed open the new document.

What you need

You need to log in to upload files. Files can be up to 10MB; if yours is bigger, reduce the image quality inside the PDF first. The document page is built for phones, with “View document” and “Download” buttons, and you can change the button text and main color.

Frequently asked questions

Do people who scan need an account?

No. Only the person creating the code logs in. Anyone who scans can view the document.

Will Google index my document?

The document page is marked noindex so search engines leave it out of results. Anyone with the code or link can still open it, so don’t use it for confidential files.

What happens if I delete the code?

Deleting it in “My QR codes” turns the page off immediately, and the file is removed from the server a day later. Printed copies will stop working.
